This labor day weekend I am terming my "birthday weekend" as my birthday is this coming Tuesday, September 7th.  Since I have all three days off from work my family, friends, and I have decided to celebrate my birthday over this three day weekend.

It started Friday night when my girlfriend came over and we decided to just chill and hang out watching movies.  We watched "What Happens in Vegas" which I had seen before but she hadn't seen the entire movie.  It turned out to be a late night since she wasn't able to make it over until around 10 PM.  I cheated a bit for dinner and got pizza, mozzarella sticks, and some soft twist ice cream.  I figured for my birthday I wasn't going to watch what I eat this weekend.

Saturday was also a great day.  I got up early (around 7 AM) and met up with a buddy and went flea marketing.  We first went to a restaurant called the Pied Piper Restaurant where I had cream chipped beef over toast with home fries.  They also have a special of pancakes stuffed with cream cheese covered with bananas and strawberries.  We ordered a stack of those and split it.  Needless to say I was beyond stuffed.  We then went to Jake's Flea Market in Boyertown, PA.  I got a couple of good deals including a few Disney records for fifty cents, a few of the original Disney Gold Books for 50 cents and some other items.  We stayed until around noon.  After that we headed home and I took a nap for the afternoon since I had the last baseball game in my season ticket package.  The Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs, the AAA affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies took on the Buffalo Bisons, the AAA affiliate of the New York Mets.  The first inning wasn't good for the Pigs as they went down 0-2.  There wasn't much offense on either end thereafter but in the 7th inning the doors broke wide open and the Pigs scored 3 runs.  The Iron Pigs ended up winning 4-3.  I then came home and got some much needed sleep.

Today, Sunday I am spending some time with my g/f and her family and then this evening I am having dinner with family and friends followed by cake and ice cream at my place.  I am then planning on going to "Dusk to Dawn" at Becky's Drive In which is an all night movie marathon--five movies in a row at the drive in!

That is all for now.  Have a great rest of your weekend everyone!

All the best,

Jace
